Portable Hot-Melt Splice Press for Flat Transmission Belts
SF Series · Portable Hot-Melt Splice Press for Flat Transmission Belts
Nylon flat belt · spindle tape · tangential belt · leather belt | 1.5–6 mm | 220 V, plug and play
▎Product Overview
| A portable press for endless joints on nylon flat belting, spindle tape and tangential belt. One cycle of heating, pressing and cooling bonds the two adhesive-coated ends at constant temperature, giving a flat, seamless endless belt. ● Embedded heating platen — uniform heat; the joint stays flat and matches the belt thickness. ● No distortion under load — firm joints with tensile strength above 80% of the original belt. ● Light and portable — 2.8 kg for the smallest model, 220 V only; it works where larger presses cannot reach. The splice is made at the machine, without removing the drive shaft or sending the belt out. |
▎Technical Specifications
Model | Platen mm | Heating | Heat | Cool | Belt thick. | Voltage | Power | Weight |
SF60×80 | 60×80 | Single-side | 5 min | 15 min | 1.5 mm | 220 V | 100 W | 2.8 kg |
SF100×150 | 100×150 | Single-side | 5 min | 15 min | 3 mm | 220 V | 500 W | 4 kg |
SF160×250 | 160×250 | Single-side | 10 min | 20 min | 4–5 mm | 220 V | 800 W | 10 kg |
SF200×200 | 200×200 | Dual + water | 25 min | 8 min | 6 mm | 220 V | 1600 W | 10 kg |
SF200×400 | 200×400 | Dual + water | 25 min | 8 min | 6 mm | 220 V | 2400 W | 50 kg |
Note: temperature is factory-set to 95–105 °C, adjustable by adhesive and belt thickness. "Dual + water" = two heated platens with water cooling. Platen sizes can be customised.
▎Key Features
● Embedded platen—even heat, flat joint, matched thickness | ● No distortion—platen stays flat under heat and pressure |
● Strong joint—≥80% of original tensile strength | ● Portable—2.8 kg smallest model, carried to the machine |
● Plug and play—220 V only, no air supply or pump | ● Versatile—flat belt, spindle tape, tangential belt |
▎Applications
● Belt types—nylon flat belt, leather belt, energy-saving rubber spindle tape, tangential belt | ● Industries—press feed belts (Heidelberg, Roland, Komori), textile, packaging, paper, new-energy drives |
● Thickness—1.5–6 mm depending on model | ● Not suitable—rubber, PVC and PU conveyor belts (need a vulcanizing press) |
▎Operating Procedure
① Power up: connect to nameplate voltage; heat to 95–105 °C until the green lamp goes out | ② Prepare: buff the belt ends, apply the adhesive twice, let each coat dry |
③ Load: overlap both ends in the supports, align and clamp | ④ Press: close the platen, tighten the four bolts evenly |
⑤ Cure: hold 20–30 min by belt thickness, or the model rating | ⑥ Cool: air or water cool to room temperature, trim the edges |
Tip: never press wet adhesive (bubbles, delamination); keep the water flowing on water-cooled models; store adhesive sealed and away from light.
Specifications are for the standard configuration; the delivered unit prevails. Heating and curing times vary with belt thickness, compound, adhesive and ambient temperature — trial a sample first.
